A genre of United States common music with origins in people, Blues and Western music, typically consisting of ballads and dance tunes with generally uncomplicated varieties and harmonies accompanied by largely string instruments for instance banjos, electric and acoustic guitars, dobros, and fiddles as well as harmonicas. The Supremes have been
